Installing

‹› Check the mount for damage and replace if necessary. Refer to => [ Hood Gas-Filled Strut Mount ] See: Hood Gas-Filled Strut Mount

Installing Lower Mount

Push the gas-filled strut onto the lower ball stud.

Installing Upper Mount

-

Push the gas-filled strut into the mount.

Push the clip all the way into the mount.

Venting

-

Clamp area x of the gas strut in the vise, area x = 50 mm.

CAUTION!
Only clamp the gas strut in area - x -. Otherwise, an accident may occur.

Saw into the cylindrical part of strut in the first third of the total cylinder length, determined starting from the edge of the cover on the side with the
piston rod.

‹› Always wear eye protection when sawing.

‹› Cover the area of the sawn portion with a clean rag.

‹› Dispose of the oil and rag properly.
