Subframe with Components, Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

Perform a vehicle alignment. Refer to => [ Wheel Alignment ] See: Maintenance/Alignment/Service and Repair/Wheel Alignment.

‹› Torque wrench (V.A.G 1332)

‹› Engine/transmission jack (V.A.G 1383 A )

Subframe with Components, Removing

‹› Be aware that if there is additional work where the drive axle twelve point bolt must be loosened, this must also occur with the vehicle resting on

the wheels. Remove the drive axle twelve point bolt. Refer to => [ Drive Axle Twelve-Point Bolt, Loosening and Tightening ] See: Steering and
Suspension/Suspension/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Suspension/All Wheel Drive (AWD).

Remove wheels.
