Seal off the brake lines and the threaded holes right away with plugs from repair kit 1H0 698 311 A.

-

Mark the brake lines from the brake calipers - 1 through 4 -, remove them and seal the lines and holes.

-

Remove the bolt from the bracket.

-

Remove the hydraulic unit, the control module and the retainer from the bracket rubber insulators and turn it on its head.

-

Remove the retainer from the hydraulic unit in the engine compartment. 

-

Remove the hydraulic unit and the control module.

Control Module, Removing from Hydraulic Unit

Set the hydraulic unit with control module upward onto a clean, level surface.

-

Remove the TORX bolts from the control module.

-

Remove the control module off from the hydraulic unit -  arrow - without tilting it.
