Engine Mount: Service and Repair

Engine Mount Bracket

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Engine Support Bridge (10 - 222 A)

‹› Engine Support Adapter (10 - 222 A /3)

‹› Bracket for Engine (10 - 222 A /1)

‹› Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

-

Remove the engine cover. Refer to => [ Engine Cover ] See: Service and Repair/Engine Cover.

Remove the intake tube between the Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor (G70) and the turbocharger.

Remove the auxiliary fuel pump (V393) and the fuel filter. Refer to => [ Auxiliary In-Line Electric Fuel Pump ] See: Powertrain Management/Fuel
Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Pump/Service and Repair/Auxiliary In-Line Electric Fuel Pump.

Install the (10 - 222 A) with the adapters as illustrated and support the engine in its installed position.

‹› The subframe may only be removed if the engine is supported by the (10 - 222 A).

‹› The engine mount bracket may first be loosened only when the subframe is removed.

Remove the engine mount to bracket bolts - B and C -.

-

Remove the bolts - A - and remove the engine mount.
