High Pressure Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

High Pressure Sensor, Common Rail
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)
‹› Assembly tool SW 17 (V.A.G 1331/6)
Removing
-
Remove noise insulation from engine.

Bring the lock carrier into service position. See: Body and Frame/Radiator Support

Remove the air shroud and radiator fan.

Disconnect the connector from the high pressure sensor.
CAUTION!
Counterhold the connection - 2 - with an open-end wrench to prevent damaging the refrigerant line.

Remove the high pressure sensor (G65) - 1 - from the refrigerant line - 2 -.
‹› Replace the o-ring.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. When doing this, note the following:
‹› High pressure sensor tightening specification: 8 ± 1 Nm.
