Towing Recognition Control Module

The towing recognition control module is installed behind the left side trim in the luggage compartment.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)

Removing:

-

Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

-

Remove the left luggage compartment trim panel.

-

Disengage connectors - 2 - and disconnect them from Towing Recognition Control Module.

‹› The number of harness connectors Towing Recognition Control Module can deviate from the illustration depending on vehicle equipment.

-

Remove the screws - 1 - and remove towing recognition control module with bracket out of the vehicle.

-

Remove the screws - arrows - and remove towing recognition control module from the bracket.
