‹› Removal and installation is described for the right-hand side of the vehicle. Removal and installation for the left-hand side is performed in the

same manner.

Removing

Disconnect vehicle battery.

Remove seat bench. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Table of Contents Seat
Frames.

Remove side upholstery with side airbag, 4-door, - 1 -. Refer to => [ Side Upholstery with Side Airbag, 4-door ] See: Body and
Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Table of Contents Seat Frames

Remove the two bolts - 2 - (9 Nm).

‹› The bolts are microencapsulated and must therefore be replaced after every removal.

‹› Before installing the new bolts, the threads of the corresponding nuts must be cleaned.

Remove rear side airbag connector coupling - 3 - from mount in side upholstery - 1 -.

Remove rear side airbag - 3 - from side upholstery.
