Belt Latch, 2-door

‹› Removing and installing the left seat seat belt latch is described. The same instructions apply for removal and installation for seat belt latch of right

seat.

Removing

-

Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136 ) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095 ).

Remove front seat. Refer to => [ Front Seat ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front Seats

-

Attach the seat to the fixture for seat repair ( VAS 6136).

-

Position seat as far forward as possible.

-

If present, disconnect wiring harness - 1 - from seat frame.

-

Remove bolt - 2 - (20 Nm).

‹› The screw is micro-encapsulated and must be replaced every time it is loosened.

‹› Before new bolts are installed, the thread of the corresponding nut must be cleaned.

Turn seat belt latch 90° clockwise - arrow A -. 

-

Swivel seat belt latch toward outside - arrow B -. 

-

Remove the seat belt latch from the mount in seat rail -  arrow C -.
