Vehicle Electrical System Control Module
‹› The relay carrier is clipped to the vehicle electrical system control module underneath and can be removed. Refer to => [ Relay Carrier on Vehicle
Electrical System Control Module ] See: Fuse Block/Service and Repair/Relay Carrier on Vehicle Electrical System Control Module.
‹› If the vehicle electrical system control module ( J519) is being replaced, then always perform the procedure to read out the code stored in the
module coding vehicle electrical system control module. Refer to => [ Vehicle Electrical System Control Module, Coding ] See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning.
‹› After replacing the vehicle electrical system control module, the other functions of the vehicle electrical system control module, such as the
anti-theft immobilizer, the anti-theft alarm system, the start authorization , the tire pressure monitoring system and the key for the central locking
must be adapted, depending on the vehicle equipment level.
‹› In this case, start by adapting the anti-theft immobilizer, refer to => [ Anti-Theft Immobilizer ] See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Antitheft
and Alarm Systems/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics , and then the other equipment-dependent functions of
vehicle electrical system control module in any order.
