Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)
‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1332)
‹› Spring-type clip pliers (VAS 5024)
Removing:

Disconnect battery. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] See: Tools and Equipment/Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

Pull off engine cover upward - arrows -.
-
Disconnect harness connector - 1 -, loosen spring-type clamp - 2 - using spring type clip pliers and disconnect vacuum hose - 3 -.

Remove mounting bolt for air filter housing - arrow -.
