Disconnect 2-pin harness connector to Knock Sensor (KS) 1 -G61- (-1-) and/or 2- pin harness connector to Knock Sensor (KS) 2 -G66- (-2-).

Measure resistance between terminals 1 + 2 at connections to knock sensors.
Specified value: Infinity ohms

Remove wiper arms and plenum chamber cover.

Connect VAG1598/22 test box to control module wiring harness connector.
