NOTE: The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor -G42- is a component of the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor -G70- and cannot be replaced individually.

Multimeter Fluke 83 or equivalent

Test sequence

Connect V.A.G 1551 scan tool (VAG1552). Then switch ignition on and select the Engine Control Module (ECM) using address word 01. See:
