connect voltage tester US 1115 to center terminal of Hall sender connector and to battery (+)

-

actuate starter and check signal from Hall sender

If the LED flickers the Hall sender is OK

IF NO:

Hall sender defective

^

electronic ignition control unit defective

Hall TCI Control Unit, Checking

Requirement:

^

ignition coil OK

-

remove connector from Hall TCI control unit (in glove box)

-

turn ignition ON

-

set digital multimeter US 1119 to measuring range 20 DCV

-

connect measuring leads to terminal 2 (from battery (-) and to terminal 4 (from ignition coil (+)

-

check voltage supply to control unit.
