Fuel Reservoir: Testing and Inspection
Fuel Pump And Filter Mounting Bracket
Check for:
1.
Fuel leaks or any seepage of fuel
2.
Any damage, cracks, improper mounting, deformation
3.
Kinked, cracked or improperly routed fuel hoses
4.
Loose or improperly mounted hose clamps
5.
Loose fuel pump to reservoir mounting screws
Fuel Reservoir Check Valve
NOTE: On cars with CIS-E Motronic fuel injection, there is an additional check valve at the Fuel Reservoir, in the supply line from the transfer pump.
This valve is replaceable, it should be replaced if a hot start problem persist, even though the residual fuel pressure meets specifications.
Remove the line from the transfer pump to gain access to the valve.
