Adding weight to reduce clutch pedal vibration in vehicles, refer to Fig. 2 below.

Beginning August, 1993, a balance weight will be attached to the clutch release lever in cases where excessive noise and vibration are
transferred to the clutch pedal.

-

The 200 gram balance weight installed on vehicles with 1.9 liter Diesel engine (up to August 1993) is discontinued.

-

Tighten to: 25 Nm (18 ft lb)

NOTE:  The new balance weight can be installed on current vehicles where necessary to address complaints about clutch pedal noise and
vibration.

Disconnect clutch cable from transmission, refer to Cable Replacement. See:

Remove interior trim panel at lower left driver's side, refer to Body and Frame.
