Remove selector shaft cover -3- (use Tool US4463 or equivalent).

-

Remove selector shaft -1-.

-

Measure length of selector shaft slot -A-.

If length of slot is 40 mm:

-

Replace selector shaft with Part No: 02K301235D (slot length = 38mm)

-

Install selector shaft, spring and cover.

Tightening torque: 50 Nm (47 ft lb)

Tip:  If selector shaft cover was sealed with a seal ring -2-, it should also be replaced with Part No.: N90354301

-

Install new selector shaft locking bolt -2- Part No: 020301241H with sealant AMV 18820003 or equivalent

Tightening torque: 40 Nm (30 ft lb)

-

Reinstall Selector lever -1- using NEW nut.

Tightening torque: 25 Nm (18 ft lb)

-

Reinstall clutch cable.
