Vapor Barrier
Vapor barrier, replacing
Up to 12.93
The purpose of vapor barrier is to seal off the passenger compartment from noise, water penetration and drafts.
The replacement vapor barrier is supplied with self-adhesive surfaces.
Vapor barrier must always be installed carefully and without creases. When it is replaced, the mating surfaces on the door must be cleaned and the
new vapor barrier installed from top to bottom without any creases.
If adhesion is insufficient, use double-sided adhesive tape AKL 434 019 25 or AKL 440 025.

Removing vapor barrier
Remove inside door release housing by pulling release tab on bottom rear of housing toward you and sliding housing forward.
Remove vapor barrier starting from either top edge.
CAUTION: Avoid tearing the vapor barrier If torn, the vapor barrier will need to be replaced.
