Retractor, installing

Golf 1985-89, Jetta 1985-88:

Check retractor assembly in vehicle for threaded hole and an attached 4.5 mm (approx. 11/64 in.) bushing -arrow-.

If bushing is present, proceed with installation of child restrain kit.

If retractor assembly does not have threaded hole and bushing:

-

Remove right front seat.
