In order to code the Airbag Control Module, your Dealer number must be present in the 1551 Scan tool.

Connect the VAG 1551 Scan Tool per instructions on page 01-5 of the Repair Manual Golf III, GTI, Jetta III, Cabrio Body-Exterior Body Interior.
Display will appear as shown except, Operating modes 1 and 2 are displayed alternately.

Input mode 4 then push Q button.
Display will appear as shown.

Push HELP button for instructions for entering Dealership number or:

Enter 1 to display Dealer code.

Enter 2 to delete Dealer code.

Enter 3 to input Dealer code.

Follow instructions listed on page 01-6 to display the part number of the Airbag Control Module.
