Volkswagen cars are equipped with automatic seat belt tensioners. 3-point belts in the front passenger seat and both rear outboard seat positions on
vehicles without an airbag, require a locking clip for the installation of a child safety seat. Passive belt systems may not be used in conjunction
with child seats. A vehicle equipped with passive belts requires the installation or use of a manually adjustable belt.
The locking clip comes with your child seat when new.
Air Bags:
Never install a rearward facing child seat or infant carrier on the front passenger seat. See the Volkswagen owner's manual.
