Check fuel gauge circuit using the diagnostic

NOTE:

If a vehicle has run out of fuel the ECM can interpret this as a lean running condition and can store a Diagnostic Trouble Code.

Obtain radio code

-

Disconnect the battery ground for approx. 15 seconds to reset adaptive values.

-

Reconnect the battery ground and return the vehicle to basic setting using the VAG 1551 Scan Tool.
