Ash Tray: Service and Repair
Storage Compartment/ashtray Unit, Removing And Installing
Removing
-
Switch off ignition.
Vehicles with automatic transmission
-
Loosen boot from cover
Vehicles with manual transmission and Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG)
-
Loosen boot from cover
-
Remove the two bolts - 1 - (1.5 Nm).
-
Remove storage compartment - 2 - from center console and (depending on vehicle equipment) disconnect wiring harnesses.
NOTE: An ashtray may be installed instead of the storage compartment, removal is the same.
Installing
-
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
