Turn potentiometer for temperature adjustment -2- to maximum heat output (600 degrees C).

-

Move two stage switch for air quantity -3- to position 3.

CAUTION:  By heating the shear bolts, parts of the protective housing are heated intensely. Wear protective gloves to prevent injuries.

Guide nozzle of hot air gun on to shear bolts.

Switch heat gun on and warm bolts.

-

Remove bolts using locking pliers.

NOTE:  If bolts cannot be removed, saw into heads of shear bolts so that two parallel surfaces are formed -arrows- and then remove them.

Insert a screwdriver -A- between protective housing and retaining plate -arrow-.

-

Pry protective housing upward using screwdriver -A- and pull it off sideways from retaining plate -arrow-.
