Tip:

* DSG is Volkswagen Group's trademark for double clutch transmission.

The Launch Control program is only available on MY 2007 and newer Jetta GLI and GTI vehicles equipped with DSG transmissions.

Technical Background

The Launch Control program is an electronic feature that enables maximum acceleration as part of the vehicle's Smart Technology.

Launch Control only operates under the following conditions:

Engine must be at operating temperature.

Steering wheel MUST be straight.

ESP switched OFF.

Manually shift the gear selector to "S" or Tiptronic position.

Brake pedal must be fully depressed for at least 1 second with your left foot.

With your right foot, accelerator pedal depressed to wide open throttle or kick down.

If the vehicle is outside of the provided VIN range and doesn't have Launch Control, proven documentation of OLD software level has to be
provided. Warranty claim can be denied if documentation is not provided.
