Headlamp Alignment Sensor: Procedures

Level Control System Sensors G76 / G78, Servicing 

Level sensors are installed on one side of the front and rear suspension.

NOTE: 

-

If the vehicle level sensors are replaced, the values of the sensor must be checked and headlamp basic setting must be performed.

-

If values of vehicle level sensors are outside the tolerance range, headlamp basic settings cannot be performed.

Left Front Level Control System Sensor G78, removing and installing 
Location: Sensor assembly is installed on left front suspension subframe console and is connected to the left front lower control arm with a relay lever.

Removing: 

CAUTION:

-

Switch off all electrical consumers.

-

Switch ignition off and remove ignition key. 

-

Disconnect electrical connection -arrow-.

-

Remove nut -1-.

-

Remove bolt -2- and remove sensor -3-.

Installing: 
Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

-

Tighten all fasteners according to values in table.

-

Check Left Front Level Control System Sensor G78.

-

Perform headlamp basic setting.

Left Rear Level Control System Sensor G76, removing and installing 
Location: Sensor assembly is installed on left rear suspension subframe and is connected to the left lower transverse link with a relay lever.

Removing:
