Clutch Release Bearing: Removal and Replacement
Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing - 02Q, 6 Speed M/T FWD
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque Wrench V.A.G 1331
Note: Slave cylinder and release bearing are one unit and can only be replaced together.
Removing
-
Remove transmission.

Release securing clip -2- with a screwdriver and pull off bleeder -4- from slave cylinder -1-.

Remove bolts -arrows-.
-
Remove slave cylinder together with release bearing -A-.
Installing
Installation is in reverse sequence; note the following points:

Slave cylinder bolts may only be tightened in small increments.
Otherwise, there is the danger that the tabs with the fastening holes could break off.

Fasten slave cylinder with release bearing
