Technical Background

The foam seal between the door trim and door speaker may be incorrectly fitted:

Service

Ensure the foam seal is properly positioned and is producing a good seal between the door trim and speaker. The foam seal must be neatly attached to the
outer surface of the tabs that form a circle around the speaker grille.

Remove door panel. Refer to Repair Manual Group 70,
Interior Trim in ElsaWeb.

Reposition foam seal as shown.

If necessary, replace foam seal with part number 1K8971798.
