Parts and instructions will be available at all Volkswagen dealers after November 9, 1995.

What You Need To Do
It is important that you contact the Service Department of your authorized Volkswagen dealer and schedule an appointment as soon as possible.  Please
present the enclosed authorization form, which identifies your vehicle, to your dealer when you bring your Volkswagen in for service.

Anticipated Repair Time

The replacement of the radiator fan components may take up to two and one-half hours.  The work will, of course, be free of charge.

Precautions

Prior to the time that the work can be performed, please observe the engine coolant temperature gauge and warning light on the instrument panel; and be
alert to any high pitched noise coming from your engine compartment.  In the event you notice a noise or an extremely elevated coolant temperature and
the warning light illuminates while you operate your vehicle, please stop your car as soon as safety possible, switch the engine off and contact an
authorized Volkswagen dealer.

Lease Vehicle

If the vehicle identified in this recall is a leased vehicle and you, the lessor and registered owner, receive this notice, please forward this information by
first class mail to the lessee.
