As a running change during m.y. 1996, the light switch -2- Part No. 1HM 941 531 Q now has new functions.

New Functions (from 01.96)

Position -A-, OFF

When the ignition is switched on, low beam headlights at reduced brightness will automatically come ON. The headlights go OFF when the parking
brake is applied.

The front parking lights, side marker lights, taillights, back-up lights, license plate lights and instrument cluster lighting will stay OFF.

Position -B-, ON

Headlights switched ON (normal brightness)

The front parking lights, side marker lights, taillights, back-up lights, license plate lights and instrument cluster lighting are switched ON.

Switch PULLED OUT fog lights (if equipped)

-

With parking lights or headlights switched ON, pull switch out and turn clockwise (arrow -1-).

Fog light indicator -D- comes ON

Fog lights are ON with low beam headlights

Fog lights are automatically switched OFF when using high beam headlights
