Headlamp Alignment Actuator: Service and Repair

Headlight Beam Adjusting Motor* (Jetta), Removing And Installing

NOTE:

- The positioning motor can only be removed and installed when the headlight housing has been removed.
- If positioning motors are removed and installed or replaced, always carry out headlight basic setting with VAS 5107 Optical headlight aimer.

Inclination dimension is embossed on headlight housing.

Removing

Remove headlight.

Release spring clip -arrow- and remove sealing cover.

Disconnect electrical connector.

-

Release left-hand positioning motor -arrow- by turning to left and right-hand by turning to right.

Pull positioning shaft ball head out of locking device on reflector.

Installing
