Valve stem seals, replacing 
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Assembly tool 2036

Assembly tool 3129

Valve lever VW 541/1A

^

Thrust piece VW 541/5

Removing 

(with cylinder head installed)
-

Remove camshaft

-

Set piston of respective cylinder to Top Dead Center (TDC).

-

Mount assembly tool 2036 and adjust mountings to height of studs.

-

Remove valve springs using valve lever VW 541/1A and press tool VW 541/5.
