Ignition Cable: Description and Operation

Spark Plug Wires

The ignition wires serve as an electrical conduit to conduct the sparking energy from the distributor cap to the spark plug. The ignition wires are
connected between their respective cap terminal and the corresponding spark plug. This model uses a low resistance wire with an auxiliary resistor built
into the connector on the wire end. The auxiliary resistor provides high resistance to reduce radio static interference from the ignition system. It also
reduces the possibility of induced voltages in the engine electrical harness that might cause false signals in sensor circuits.
