Flex Plate: Service and Repair
Sealing Flanges and Flywheel/Drive Plate, Remove and Install
Sealing flanges and flywheel/drive plate, removing and installing
Note: Servicing clutch:
Refer to Transmission and Drivetrain
1. 90 Nm plus an additional 1/4 turn (90°)

Always replace

Threads and shoulder must be free of oil and grease
-
Use counterhold tool 3415 to loosen and tighten
2. Crankshaft toothed belt sprocket
3. 15 Nm
4. Seal
PTFE seals:
-
Do not add oil or grease to the oil seal sealing lip.

Coil spring seals:
-
Lightly oil or grease the oil seal sealing lip.

Differences between PTFE seals and coil spring seals, Refer to Fig. 10
5. Sealing flange
6. Cylinder block
7. 60 Nm plus an additional 1/4 turn (90°)

Always replace
8. Flywheel/drive plate
-
To remove and install flywheel counterhold with 3067
9. Intermediate plate
-
Must be located on dowel sleeves
-
Do not damage/bend when assembling
10. Sealing flange with oil seal
-
Only replace complete
-
Use protective sleeve supplied when installing
