CAUTION!  Before working on the electrical system: 

-

Determine the correct coding for the anti-theft radio.

Switch the ignition off. 

-

Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap.

After reconnecting battery, re-code and check operation of anti-theft radio. Also check operation of clock and power windows according to Repair
Manual and/or Owner's Manual.

NOTE:  Vehicles equipped with "Monsoon" sound systems include high power handling speakers specifically designed for the "Monsoon" system.
Always confirm radio system installed and check with the parts department for proper replacement speaker applications.

Bass Loudspeakers, Front and Rear

To replace a loudspeaker, the door trim or side panel must first be removed. See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Trim Panel/Service and
Repair

Disconnect harness connector.

-

Drill off pop rivets (arrows) with appropriate drill and remove defective speaker.

NOTE:  Remove all drill shavings from door or corrosion damage will occur. If paint damage occurs during drilling, repair immediately

Secure new speaker using special pop rivets of appropriate length and diameter (note part number!).

Do not forget rubber ring between trim and loudspeaker when reinstalling door trim.

Domed Treble Loudspeaker In Front Door

The domed treble speaker in the front door is permanently attached to the cover of the mirror triangle.
