Shift Interlock Cable: Service and Repair
5 Speed Automatic 09A, Locking Cable Remove & Install

Removing 

Installation position of locking cable
1. Footwell vents
2. Support/instrument panel
3. Heater unit

heck whether a coded radio is fitted. If so, obtain anti-theft coding.

Switch ignition off and disconnect battery Ground strap.

-

Remove driver's airbag and steering wheel.

-

Remove left trim under instrument panel.

-

Remove steering column trim.

-

Remove handle for steering column height and reach adjustment.

-

Turn ignition key to "ignition on" position.

Shift selector lever into "P" position.
