Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair
REPLACING THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR

Remove two screws -3-.

Remove Throttle Position (TP) Sensor -4-.

Throttle valve -2- in Closed Throttle Position.
^
New O-ring -1-.

Install Throttle Position Sensor in reverse order of removal.

Tightening torque (screws -3-) to 3 Nm (27 in lb).

After installing the Throttle Position Sensor, the Motronic Engine Control Module (ECM) must be returned to basic settings.
NOTE: On vehicles with automatic transmission, the Transmission Control Module must also be returned to basic settings.
