Generator B+ Terminal, Connection

Supersedes T.B. Group 27 Number 95-04 dated Apr. 18, 1995

Condition

Battery low state of charge can be caused by poor or intermittent electrical contact between wiring harness eyelet connector and Generator B+ terminal.

Service

-

Obtain radio code.

-

Disconnect battery ground (GND).

-

Remove eyelet terminal from Generator B+ stud.

-

Remove approximately 6 mm of the eyelet terminal insulation.

-

Clean any residue or corrosion from eyelet terminal.

-

Apply Stabilant 22A Part No. ZVW 186 001 to eyelet terminal.

-

Reinstall eyelet terminal on Generator B+ stud.

Tightening torque: 13 Nm (10 ft. lb)

-

Reconnect Battery (GND).

-

Recode radio.
