Dimension -a- = 541 ± 1 mm (21.30 ± 0.04 in.) for the following engine:

1.8L 66 kW (90 hp)

1.9L 55 kW (75 hp) Turbo-Diesel

^

2.0L 85 kW (115 hp)

Dimension -a- = 521 ± 1 mm (20.67 ± 0.04 in.) for the following engine:

1.9L 66 kW (90 hp) TDI

Drive joint off axle shaft with firm blow from soft mallet.

First use drift to drive off boot.

Support ball hub while pressing off.

Press joint on up to stop.

Install circlip.

NOTE:  Chamfer on inner diameter of ball hub (splices) must face the contact shoulder on the axle shaft.
