Fig. 24 Exploded View Of Front Windshield Wiper Assembly

Refer to Fig. 19 through 24 for front wiper configurations.

1. Open hood and remove any panels necessary to gain access to cowl area where wiper motor and linkage are mounted.
2. Disconnect wiper motor electrical connector.
3. Note Park position of wiper arms for later assembly.
4. On models with wiper motor mounting bolts/nuts accessible through cowl, disconnect wiper linkage rods from crank arm on motor, then

remove mounting bolts/nuts and motor.

5. On models where wiper motor mounting bolts/nuts are not accessible through cowl, proceed as follows:

a. Remove wiper assembly as outlined under "Wiper Transmission, Replace.
b. Place assembly on suitable workspace.
c. Disconnect wiper linkage rods from crank arm on motor.
d. Remove mounting bolts/nuts and motor.

6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

a. Prior to installing motor, connect motor to vehicle electrical connector, turn ignition on, then turn wiper on and off to ensure motor is in Park

position.

b. Turn ignition off, then disconnect electrical connector.
c. Ensure wiper linkage is in Park position. If necessary, remove and position crank arm on motor to correct alignment.
d. Install motor and mounting bolts/nuts, then torque to 14 ft. lbs.

Rear
