This new coolant outlet hose is equipped with a thermostat that will
inhibit coolant flow through the transmission cooler until the engine
reaches normal operating temperature.
The hose is directional (white arrow in illustration 19-A131) and should
be installed with the arrow on the thermostat pointing away from the
transmission cooler.
Manual Transmission
For vehicles equipped with manual transmission, the ECM will be re-programmed via a flash CD.

Remove air cleaner housing along with the mass air flow (MAF)
sensor.
