4 Speed Automatic 01M

Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS), checking (vehicles with 01M transmission)

Recommended special tools and equipment

-

10-222A engine support bridge with 10-222A-1 bracket for engine

-

V.A.G 1331 torque wrench (5 to 50 Nm)

Requirements

-

Selector lever must be in -P- position.

-

Parking brake must be engaged.

-

Ignition switched off.

Work procedure

-

Determine whether a coded radio is installed. In this case, determine anti-theft coding.

-

Switch ignition off and disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap.

-

Remove battery.

-

Remove battery holder.

-

Remove air filter.
