To clearly identify if a noise complaint is related to this issue:

Disconnect control arm from suspected steering knuckle.
^
Move control arm up and down.
If a creaking noise is heard during motion:

Replace the bonded front bushing (NOT the control arm), see Repair Manual Group 40 Front Suspension, Subframe, Stabilizer Bar, Control Arm,
Bonded Rubber Bushing in ElsaWeb.
