Check for open circuits in wires between test box and 20-pin harness connector according to wiring diagram.

Terminal 1 + socket 10
Terminal 2 + socket 9
Wire resistance: max. 1.5 Ohms

Check wires for short circuit to each other, to vehicle Ground (GND) and to B+.
Specified value: Infinite Ohms

If no malfunctions are found in wires:

-

Check resistance of Sensor for transmission RPM -G182-.

Check sensor resistance

-

Re-connect 20-pin connector.

-

Check sensor resistance between test box sockets 9 + 10.

Specified value: 400 to 600 Ohms

-

Check wires between test box sockets for short circuit to Ground (GND) and short circuit to B+ according to wiring diagram:

Sockets 1 + 9
Socket 1 + 10
Socket 9 + 68
Socket 10 + 68
Specified value: Infinite Ohms

Replace Transmission Control Module (TCM) -J217-.

If specified values are not obtained:

-

Check internal wires in valve body

If no malfunctions are found in the internal wires:

-

Replace Sensor for transmission RPM -G182-.
