Identify and paper tape the location of the front door speaker contact area with door panel.

Remove both front door trim panel(s), (see Repair Manual Body Interior Group 70 Trim/insulation.

Using the inside edge of the paper tape as a guide, apply ZVW837 001 foam tape to inside door frame all along the trim panel to door contact surface
(black arrows), then remove paper guide tape. DO NOT apply, (approx. 12 in.), ZVW837 001 foam tape to door bottom area (white arrows).
Tip:
Part No. ZVW837 001 foam tape will repair 8 vehicles (16 doors).

Triple a piece of ZVW 837 001 foam tape, (approx. 1.5 inches in length), and place as a noise buffer in the door panel indentation where indicated
(black arrows).
