Jetta Sedan L5-2.5L (BGP) (2005)
Installing
‹› Do not touch glass cone when installing Left High Intensity Gas Discharge (HID) Lamp (L13). Fingers leave traces of oil on the glass cone which
can evaporate when Left High Intensity Gas Discharge (HID) Lamp (L13) is switched on, causing the glass cone to cloud.
‹› The Left High Intensity Gas Discharge (HID) Lamp (L13) glass cone must not be placed under any mechanical strain. Glass cone is extremely
sensitive and is also under high pressure.
‹› Avoid looking directly into focused light beam, since UV radiation from Left High Intensity Gas Discharge (HID) Lamp (L13) is approximately
2.5 times higher than that of standard Halogen lights.
‹› When installing cap, ensure proper seating. It is destroyed by ingress of water into headlamp.
‹› If a headlamp with automatic vertical headlamp range control is removed, perform headlamp basic setting after installation.
Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
-
Check headlamp for function.
-
