Installing

-

Connect rear connector to Motronic Engine Control Module (ECM) J220 and lock it into place.

-

Push Motronic Engine Control Module (ECM) J220 onto retaining plate.

-

Connect front connector to Motronic Engine Control Module (ECM) J220 and lock it into place.

-

Check whether the new control module identification matches the old control module identification.

-

Perform function "Replacing control module" using Vehicle diagnosis and service information system VAS 5052.

-

Push protective housing - 2 - onto retaining plate.

-

Screw in shear bolts - 1 - uniformly until the bolt heads begin to shear.

-

Install plenum chamber bulkhead, plenum chamber cover and windshield wiper arms.

-

Generate readiness code.
