Fuel Gauge Sender: Service and Repair

Fuel Level Sensor

‹› Phased-in introduction of fuel delivery units with changed fuel level sensor.

Old Version

Removing

-

Remove the fuel delivery unit. Refer to --> [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] See: Fuel Pump/Service and Repair/Fuel Delivery Unit.

-

Disconnect connectors - arrows - and remove the electrical wires - 1, 2 and 3 -.

-

Lift the retaining tabs - 4 - and - 5 - with a screwdriver and remove the fuel level sensor downward and off -  arrow -.

Installing

-

Insert the fuel level sensor into guides on the fuel delivery unit and press up until engagement.

Connect the electrical connectors and check for secure locking.

Install the fuel delivery unit. Refer to --> [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] See: Fuel Pump/Service and Repair/Fuel Delivery Unit.

New Version

Removing

-

Remove the fuel delivery unit. Refer to --> [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] See: Fuel Pump/Service and Repair/Fuel Delivery Unit.

-

Release the retaining tabs - arrows - with a screwdriver.
