Steering gear

‹› With power steering control module.

‹› With electromechanical power steering motor.

‹› With engine speed (RPM) sensor.

‹› With steering torque sensor.

‹› With steering angle sensor.

‹› Can be tested in "Guided Fault Finding" using the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051B).

Nut, 20 Nm + 90° additional turn

‹› M12 x 1.5.

‹› Self locking.

‹› Always replace after removal.

Bolt, 50 Nm + 90° additional turn

‹› Always replace after removal.

‹› Ball joint puller (3287 A)

‹› Torque wrench 5-50 Nm (VAG 1331)

‹› Torque wrench 40-200 Nm (VAG 1332)

‹› Engine and transmission jack (VAG 1383A)

Removing

Disconnect the battery..

-

Remove the footwell trim - 1 -, remove the nuts -  arrows - to do so.
