Clutch Master Cylinder: Service and Repair

Master Cylinder

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Pliers (T10005)

Removing

‹› Before disconnecting the battery, retrieve the coding for radio devices with anti-theft coding. 

‹› Disconnect battery ground (GND) cable with ignition switched off.

‹› When reconnecting battery 

‹› Lubricate the various bearing and contact surfaces with grease (G 000 450 02).

Remove mounting bracket --> [ Mounting Bracket ] See: Clutch Pedal Assembly/Service and Repair/Mounting Bracket.

Release mounting of master cylinder actuator rod using pliers (T10005).

-

Place spacer - A - between clutch pedal and stop and press clutch pedal toward spacer.
