Vacuum Pump

Vacuum Pump

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque wrench 5-50 Nm (VAG 1331)

Removing

-

Remove the engine cover. Refer to --> [ Engine Cover ] See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Cylinder Head Assembly/Service and
Repair/Engine Cover. 

-

Remove the air filter. Refer to --> [ Air Filter ] See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner
Housing/Service and Repair/Air Filter. 

-

Remove the high pressure pump using the roller tappet. Refer to --> [ High Pressure Pump ] See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air
Induction/Fuel Pump/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/High Pressure Pump.

Remove the bolt - 4 - and the ground wire -  3 -.

-

Remove the vacuum hose - 1 - from the vacuum pump. 

-

Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the vacuum pump.
